I read this on the
Skip Beat! yahoo group:
Skip Beat will be adapted into a live-action drama in Taiwan!
"Skip Beat", which is a drama adapted from a Japanese manga, is
planning to have Ariel Jin and Jerry Yan as the leading roles. More

omg!!!! my heart skipped a beat when i read this. I'd prefer jp version
but taiwan ver. sometimes is better XD. but whatever, this is like a
dream come true!!!!Jerry Yan is the guy who played Domouji in HYD TW
ver. Ariel Jin is the one who plays the main girl in Itaruza na kiss TW
live action ver. This is such good news!!! Can't wait till it comes out
XD
THIS IS SUCH HORRIBLE NEWS, I WANT TO CRY. D: OF ALL ACTORS, WHY THOSE TWO??? I FRIGGIN HATE THOSE TWO. WTH. GIVE ME KOREAN, IF JAPANESE DRAMA IS IMPOSSIBLE. THAT AT LEAST WOULD BE BETTER. TT___TT
No offense to Taiwanese actors, but usually Taiwanese drama er...are not as good in quality and talent as Korean and Japanese drama (Japanese still topping my list). I mean, come on, where is talent in these people??? (well, OK, to give the girl from Itazura na Kiss the benefit of the doubt, if she could portray Kyouko's strength of character, she will half-convince me to watch it. BUT JERRY YAN? AS REN??? OMFG. He acts without talent and even sings without talent!). I remember the horrible scene from
The Devil Does Exist, wherein someone was supposed to get run over by a car but whoever was the idiot in the production (or the director, WHOEVER) recorded a shot where you can clearly see nobody was in front of the car. This is really an idiotic mistake. And
Meteor Garden - BAH. That's just full of mistakes everywhere, from the horrible acting to the horrible set and costumes and lack of character depth of even the main characters. A good manga ruined, but gratefully
Hana Yori Dango was filmed in Japan and YES! Something ultimately superior!
SO NOW. SKIP BEAT? I dread the day it will come out, unless for some reason it will inspire a Japanese drama version to be made in the future.
WTH.
